Job Purpose
This role supports a land registry and titling project in Panama's Indio River basin. The project aims to regularize approximately 60,000 hectares, issue around 2,600 property titles, and rectify boundaries for 5,000 hectares. The position is crucial for field operations, ensuring community engagement, accurate data collection, and the successful issuance of land titles, thereby enhancing legal security and improving living conditions for local residents, with a specific focus on women's land ownership.
Responsibilities
The Notifier/Outreach Worker/Enumerator will be part of field teams, supporting cadastral surveys and land titling processes. Key duties include disseminating project information to beneficiary communities, identifying and contacting land occupants, notifying them for survey work, and conducting enumerations. This involves filling out cadastral forms, collecting necessary documentation, and verifying land occupation and boundaries. The role also requires assisting with public outreach events, ensuring accurate data recording, preparing field reports, and facilitating communication between beneficiaries and project staff to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
Work Experience
Experience in field work, community outreach, data collection, and administrative tasks is required. Experience with land registry, titling processes, or similar projects is desirable. The ability to work effectively in a team and interact with diverse communities is essential.
