Job Purpose
The Human Resources Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the effective implementation of HR strategies and services within the UNDP Mexico office. This includes ensuring full compliance with UN and UNDP HR regulations, policies, and strategies. The position is responsible for assisting in recruitment processes, managing personnel transactions through ERP systems, and supporting contract management. Additionally, the role contributes to effective staff performance management, talent development, and knowledge sharing initiatives, ensuring the efficient operation of the office and the organization by providing essential administrative and operational HR support.
Responsibilities
Support the effective implementation of HR strategies by ensuring compliance with UN and UNDP regulations, policies, and strategies. Assist in mapping business processes and developing internal HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provide comprehensive HR services support, including recruitment and staffing, by preparing job descriptions, vacancy announcements, and supporting interview panels. Track all HR-related transactions, including recruitment, benefits, and separations, via ERP. Manage contract administration and update staff rosters. Process expense recovery invoices and maintain HR records. Support staff performance management, talent management, and professional development by providing background information for review panels and contributing to learning plans. Facilitate knowledge building and sharing by participating in HR training and contributing to knowledge networks.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years of HR experience with a high school diploma, or 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in personnel recruitment, administrative personnel management, UN/UNDP agencies, competency-based interviews, and ERP systems or digital HR platforms is essential.
