Job Purpose
This role is crucial for supporting the UNDP Project Management Unit (PMU) in Bata to achieve grant performance objectives for HIV and Malaria programs. The Analyst will ensure timely and quality-assured procurement and supply chain management of health products, adhering to UNDP and Global Fund regulations. The purpose is to strengthen national health systems and institutions by ensuring the effective and efficient supply of essential medical devices and pharmaceuticals, contributing to improved health outcomes and the overall mission of the UNDP in Equatorial Guinea.
Responsibilities
The role involves ensuring effective planning and oversight of health product procurement and supply chain management, aligning with UNDP policies and Global Fund agreements. Key duties include conceptualizing and implementing a client-oriented procurement system, leading coordination with the Country Office procurement team, and monitoring workflows. The Analyst will lead substantive monitoring of health product procurement and supply chain management, proactively addressing performance issues and ensuring accountability for corrective actions. This includes managing international orders and shipments, developing and maintaining a capable procurement team, and collaborating with regional and headquarters offices. The role also requires ensuring compliance with procurement standards, monitoring risk management, preparing quality reports, overseeing logistics, managing records in Quantum, and facilitating audits.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in health products, is required. Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is also necessary. Experience working with the UN or Global Fund is desirable.
