Job Purpose

This internship aims to support the implementation and coordination of key UN Women initiatives focused on ending violence against women (EVAW). The intern will contribute to major events such as the SVRI Forum 2026, the annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, and International Migrants Day. The role involves assisting with logistical planning, event coordination, communication outreach, data management, and translation, all under the supervision of the Regional Programme Specialist on EVAW. The internship provides a valuable learning experience in advocacy, communications, event management, and programme implementation within a multicultural setting.

Responsibilities

The intern will provide comprehensive support for event organization and logistics, including planning, coordination, participant registration, venue liaison, and on-site support for the SVRI Forum, 16 Days of Activism, and International Migrants Day. Responsibilities include taking meeting notes, preparing summaries, and tracking actions. Communication and outreach support involves assisting in developing outreach materials, compiling background information, and documenting key highlights for internal and external use. Data collection and information management include supporting the systematic collection and management of event-related data, maintaining databases, and updating trackers. Additionally, the intern will provide translation support between Thai and English for documents and communications, and assist with proofreading and formatting various materials.
