The role supports coordination mechanisms like the "Gender Equality" Sectoral Working Group and the Platform for Gender Mainstreaming and Inclusive Recovery, enhancing government and donor collaboration.

Job Purpose

This consultancy aims to provide expert support to the Secretariats of the "Gender Equality" Sectoral Working Group and the Platform for Gender Mainstreaming and Inclusive Recovery in Ukraine. The role will strengthen the functioning of these coordination mechanisms, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between government bodies, civil society, and development partners. The objective is to ensure that gender equality and inclusion are central to Ukraine's recovery processes and EU accession efforts, contributing to a more equitable and resilient future for women and girls.

Responsibilities

Provide expert support for the effective functioning of the Secretariats of the "Gender Equality" SWG and the Platform for Gender Mainstreaming and Inclusive Recovery. Support coordination and communication with members, government institutions, parliament, civil society, and development partners on inclusion and gender mainstreaming priorities for EU accession and recovery. Offer analytical support to identify strategic priorities and approaches, drafting policy papers and presentations. Advise on planning and developing action plans for the coordination mechanisms. Support monitoring and reporting to track results, lessons learned, and best practices. Organize meetings, including drafting agendas, inviting participants, and preparing minutes. Facilitate public discussions and multistakeholder consultations on gender equality and inclusion issues. Support capacity development and training activities.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant work experience post-Master's degree in human rights, gender equality, governance, public administration, or related fields. Proven experience in providing legal and policy support to government institutions on gender mainstreaming for EU accession and recovery is essential. Understanding of Ukrainian gender equality commitments and experience with UN agencies or development partners is an asset.
