Campaign Consultant - Advocacy on Women's Meaningful Participation in Peace Processes

This role supports a strategic advocacy campaign in Sudan focused on increasing women's meaningful participation in peace processes. The campaign aims to amplify women's voices, counter marginalizing narratives, and create civic space for women-led organizations to influence peace discourse, aligning with the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to design and provide technical support for an advocacy campaign promoting women's meaningful participation in peace talks in Sudan. The campaign seeks to establish civic space for Women-Led Organizations (WLOs) to influence peace discourse, counter hate speech, and advocate for an inclusive peace process. The consultant will ensure strong ownership by women peace actors and coherent advocacy messaging across all campaign activities, contributing to more durable and inclusive peace outcomes.
Responsibilities
The consultant will design and facilitate a three-day workshop for WLOs to collaboratively shape campaign components, including coordination among participating organizations. This includes conducting a desk review and context analysis on women's participation in peace processes. The consultant will consolidate the campaign design proposal based on workshop outcomes, ensuring WLOs can influence peace discourse and advocate for inclusivity. Responsibilities also include ensuring consistency in advocacy messaging to counter hate speech and marginalizing narratives, proposing relevant media outlets, advising on measuring change, and identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in advocacy campaign design and coordination, preferably in fragile or conflict-affected contexts, is required. Demonstrated experience working with women's organizations and civil society actors is essential. Proven facilitation, coordination, and consensus-building skills are also necessary.
