Job Purpose

The Specialist provides leadership on advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment across UN Women’s mandate areas by managing and providing strategic technical programme support, and supporting UN Women’s advocacy, coordination and technical support to the Syrian government and other stakeholders. Work Experience

- At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience at the national or international level in design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects is required. - Technical experience in gender in humanitarian action (GiHA) is required. - Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required. - Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors is desirable. - Experience working in the UN System is desirable. - Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
