The work of UN Women in Moldova is guided by its new Country Strategic Note 2023-2027, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Moldova 2023-2027 (UNSDCF), UN Women Global Strategic Plan, National Programs and Strategies and aims to contribute to the gender-responsive implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Strategic Note focuses on four main areas: 1) Ending Violence against Women; 2) Women’s Leadership and Governance; 3) Women’s Economic empowerment and 4) Humanitarian and Peace development
Job Purpose

The work of UN Women in Moldova is guided by its new Country Strategic Note 2023-2027, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Moldova 2023-2027 (UNSDCF), UN Women Global Strategic Plan, National Programs and Strategies and aims to contribute to the gender-responsive implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Strategic Note focuses on four main areas: 1) Ending Violence against Women; 2) Women’s Leadership and Governance; 3) Women’s Economic empowerment and 4) Humanitarian and Peace development nexus and UN Coordination on gender equality.
In this regard, UN Women will continue supporting the country to translate the global norms and standards for gender equality and women’s empowerment into the national normative and policy frameworks; to mainstream gender perspectives in all thematic areas; and promote coordination and coherence across the UN system to enhance accountability and results for gender equality and women’s empowerment, all together allowing UN Women to link global, national, and local actors to create an enabling environment for the achievement of gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Reporting to Programme Specialist, Women in Leadership, and Gender Sensitive Governance and Budgets (WILG), the Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of UN Women programmes in the UN Women Moldova Country Office by providing substantive inputs to programme

Reporting to Programme Specialist, Women in Leadership, and Gender Sensitive Governance and Budgets (WILG), the Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of UN Women programmes in the UN Women Moldova Country Office by providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. The Programme Analyst guides and facilitates the delivery of UN Women programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements if necessary. Work Experience
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building is required.
- Experience in the Women in Leadership, and Gender Sensitive Governance and Budgetsis desirable.
- Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors is desirable.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required.
- Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
