UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. UN Women Myanmar Country Office partners with the UN Central Emergency Response Fund to direct vital humanitarian aid towards crisis-affected women and girls. Reporting to the Humanitarian Programme Specialist, the Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of the CERF funded projects by providing substantive inputs to project design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. The Programme Analyst guides and facilitates the delivery of UN Women CERF funded projects by monitoring results achieved during implementation and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements if necessary. The Programme Analyst works in close collaboration with the programme and operations team and will provide support to the Myanmar Country Office complying with the Fund requirements including on monitoring and reporting, coordinating project results to internal and external audiences. Scope of Work: 1.Contribute technically to the design of humanitarian project strategies and in the area of relief and recovery - Provide substantive inputs to the design and formulation of programme/ project proposals and initiatives;
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building is required - Experience in gender in humanitarian context is an asset - Experience in the United Nations systems is desirable. - Field experience is desirable. - Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required. - Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
