UN Women Moldova is implementing the EVOLVE4GE project (November 2023-October 2027) to combat violence against women and domestic violence. This project aims to strengthen national capacity for multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to provide coordinated, survivor-centred services. The role supports the development of training materials for MDTs, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and national strategies.
Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to provide technical expertise to the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Agency in the Republic of Moldova to develop a comprehensive package of methodological and training materials for the multidisciplinary response to violence against women and domestic violence. The consultant will create a Facilitator Guide, trainer PowerPoint presentations, participant training materials, and a training evaluation toolkit. These materials will support the National MDT Training Programme and Curriculum, ensuring evidence-informed, survivor-centred, and gender-responsive approaches are integrated to enhance the capacity of professionals in addressing VAW/DV.
Responsibilities
The National Consultant will develop a package of three methodological and training materials on the multidisciplinary response to violence against women and domestic violence, including a Facilitator Guide, trainer PowerPoint presentations, and a participant training package. Additionally, the consultant will create a training evaluation toolkit with pre- and post-training assessments and participant feedback forms. Key tasks involve conducting a desk review of existing resources, ensuring all materials integrate evidence-informed, survivor-centred, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed approaches, and facilitating consultations with stakeholders like the GBV Agency, UN Women, and UNICEF for validation. The consultant will finalize all materials and submit a final report detailing achievements and lessons learned.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of professional experience in ending violence against women and domestic violence or gender equality is required. Experience in developing curricula, training programs, or capacity development materials in this field is also essential. Experience with national stakeholders and UN agencies is considered an asset.
