UN Women Moldova works to eliminate discrimination against women and girls, empower women, and achieve gender equality. Guided by its Country Strategic Note 2023-2027, the office focuses on ending violence against women, women's leadership and governance, economic empowerment, and the humanitarian nexus. Despite progress, gender inequalities persist, with women under-represented in decision-making roles and facing persistent stereotypes. This role supports efforts to build inclusive and representative societies by strengthening women's leadership.
Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to provide capacity building on crisis management and safe leadership for women in public administration, politics, and management positions in the private sector in Moldova. The role supports UN Women's initiative to equip women leaders and emerging leaders with essential skills to navigate high-pressure situations, respond to challenges like gender disinformation, and foster a gender-sensitive culture. By developing and delivering tailored training, the consultant will contribute to enhancing women's confidence, leadership capabilities, and effectiveness as change-makers, ultimately promoting their full and effective participation in decision-making processes and advancing gender equality.
Responsibilities
The consultant will develop comprehensive learning modules and methodologies on crisis management and safe leadership, ensuring alignment with international standards and best practices. This includes content on framing messages, public presence, responding to sexist narratives and gender disinformation, psychological resilience, and crisis communication. The consultant is responsible for delivering at least six training sessions for up to 25 participants each, including pre- and post-training assessments. Additionally, individual mentoring and advisory sessions will be provided to beneficiaries. A final report summarizing lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for future capacity-building initiatives will be developed. The consultant will collaborate closely with the UN Women team and other experts, reporting to thematic leads.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required in designing and delivering training programs on transformative leadership, particularly for women in public roles or management. Proven experience in curriculum development and facilitation for senior officials is essential. Experience working with governments, parliaments, or international organizations on women's political participation is also required. Experience in crisis preparedness, resilience, or working with international organizations is advantageous.
