Job Purpose

This role supports the implementation of the Academy for Women in Public Leadership in Moldova, a national platform designed to strengthen women's leadership skills and confidence. The Academy aims to equip women legislators, government officials, mayors, and other leaders with the necessary tools to excel in their roles, drive change, and promote gender-sensitive cultures. By providing tailored training, leadership labs, mentoring, and networking opportunities, the initiative seeks to foster effective participation of women in political and public life, contributing to inclusive and representative societies and Moldova's EU integration.

Responsibilities

The National Consultant will provide programmatic, coordination, and logistical support for the Academy for Women in Public Leadership. Key duties include supporting the overall planning and coordination of the Academy's workplan and activities, organizing events such as trainings, leadership labs, and networking sessions, and managing participant outreach and selection. The role involves providing logistical support, including translation and distribution of materials, and assisting with monitoring and evaluation by administering questionnaires and consolidating data. Additionally, the consultant will support programmatic tasks like drafting concept notes and meeting minutes, and coordinating with experts, partners, and UN Women staff to ensure smooth and timely implementation of all Academy activities.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years of proven experience in providing programmatic, administrative, coordination, or logistical support for projects or capacity-building initiatives is required. Experience in organizing events like trainings and workshops, including participant management and documentation, is also essential. Experience in gender equality, women's leadership, or political participation programs, and working with international organizations like the UN, are advantageous. Proficiency in office software and web-based management systems is necessary.
