Job Purpose
The Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of UN Women programmes in the Country Office by providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. This role guides and facilitates programme delivery by monitoring results and ensuring the appropriate application of systems and procedures. The Programme Analyst works collaboratively with programme and operations teams, UN Women HQ, government officials, donors, and civil society to ensure successful programme implementation within their portfolio, focusing on advancing gender equality and empowering women and girls.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will contribute technically to programme strategies in Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW), providing inputs for proposal design and identifying areas for intervention. They will support programme implementation and management by contributing to work plans, coordinating activities, monitoring partner reports, and training partners on Results-Based Management. The role involves providing technical assistance and capacity development to partners, developing knowledge products, and maintaining relationships with national stakeholders. Additionally, the incumbent will monitor programme progress and finances, draft reports, and provide substantive inputs for financial reporting and budget management. They will also contribute to building partnerships, resource mobilization strategies, and inter-agency coordination on EVAWG, as well as supporting advocacy and communication efforts.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible work experience with a Master's degree (or 4 years with a Bachelor's degree) in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in EVAW, coordinating with government agencies and donors, and using computer software packages (MS Word, Excel, databases) is desirable. Experience with ERP systems like Oracle Cloud is also desirable.
