Job Purpose
The WPHF National Program Analyst supports the effective management of UN Women Ethiopia's programmes, with a focus on WPHF grants. This role involves providing substantive input to programme design, formulation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. The analyst works within the WPSHA team, ensuring the delivery of UN Women programmes by monitoring results and applying appropriate systems and procedures. The position also involves close collaboration with the WPHF Secretariat, National Steering Committee, regional teams, and civil society organizations, and contributes to inter-agency coordination and advocacy efforts.
Responsibilities
The WPHF National Program Analyst is responsible for contributing technically to the development of WPSHA strategies, including input into programme/project proposals and WPHF grant Calls for Proposals. They will provide substantive technical support to programme implementation and management, including annual workplans and budgets, leading programme activities with a focus on normative and policy work, and coordinating calls for proposals and partner capacity assessments. The role includes reviewing partner reports, training partners on Results Based Management, and providing technical assistance for capacity building. Monitoring progress of activities and finances, drafting reports, and providing inputs for donor and UN Women reports are key duties. The analyst will also manage programme finances, contribute to partnerships and resource mobilization, support inter-agency coordination, and contribute to advocacy, knowledge building, and communication efforts.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressive work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in gender equality, women's empowerment, WPSHA, and normative/policy engagement is desirable. Experience with government agencies/donors, knowledge of international instruments and national laws on violence against women, and experience in advocacy are assets. Proficiency in computer software and web-based management systems is required; experience with ERP systems like Oracle Cloud is desirable.
