The position ensures compliance with UN Women's rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
The Administrative Associate is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Peace and Security Section. Key duties include preparing administrative work plans, managing team leave, coordinating travel arrangements, and facilitating the organization of conferences and workshops. The role also involves managing procurement activities, including RFQs and tender evaluations, and handling protocol matters. Additionally, the Associate will manage the Chief of Peace and Security's calendar, organize meetings, and coordinate administrative HR services such as vacancy announcements, interview panels, and personnel administration for staff. Support for knowledge building and sharing on administrative best practices is also a key function.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in administration, procurement, HR, or logistic support services is required. Proficiency in computer and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is essential. Experience with a modern web-based ERP system, such as Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
