Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to provide specialized technical assistance to UN Women's Regional Office for the Americas and the Caribbean (ACRO) and its country offices. The consultant will develop specific products, analyses, and inputs related to the private sector portfolio, supporting targeted needs. The role is crucial for fostering strategic alliances and mobilizing resources to advance gender equality and women's empowerment in the region, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 17 on partnerships.
Responsibilities
The consultant will provide specialized technical services on a retainer basis, developing products and analyses for ACRO's private sector portfolio and country office needs. Key responsibilities include mapping private sector actors, preparing company profiles and background notes, and developing technical inputs for specific initiatives. The role also involves creating technical materials for engagement and resource mobilization with the private sector, such as concept notes, pitch decks, and talking points. Additionally, the consultant will support the preparation of documentation for alliances and due diligence processes, and develop knowledge products and technical support materials for specific activities, all under the guidance of the Regional Specialist for Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required, with a proven track record in strategic partnerships, private sector engagement, and resource mobilization, preferably within a development or international organization context. Experience in gender equality and women's empowerment issues is highly desirable. Experience in the Americas and the Caribbean region is an asset.
