Job Purpose
This internship aims to support the WYDE Women's Leadership programme, focusing on advancing women's political participation and decision-making. The intern will contribute to coordination efforts with civil society grantees, knowledge sharing, reporting, and communications and advocacy activities. The role involves developing advocacy materials, supporting event coordination, monitoring partner communications, and documenting programme results. The internship offers a learning opportunity to understand UN Women's mandate, women's leadership initiatives, and strategic advocacy and communications.
Responsibilities
Support the coordination, advocacy, and communications for WYDE activities, events, and campaigns. Assist in designing and developing communication and advocacy products, including social media assets and knowledge management documents. Monitor, analyze, and amplify communications and advocacy activities of WYDE partners and grantees. Draft stories and articles following corporate templates. Collect and archive audio-visual materials from partners. Elaborate audio-visual products and support programme events. Assist in maintaining data related to funded civil society organizations. Review reports to extract key results for monitoring and amplification. Process reports through internal procedures for accountability. Document lessons learned from funded projects on transforming social norms and advancing women's leadership. Support preparations for knowledge exchange events.
Work Experience
No specific work experience is required for this internship. However, a strong interest in gender equality and women's rights issues is beneficial. Experience with social media management, analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to interact effectively with peers are advantageous.
