This role supports the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), a key financing mechanism for women's participation in peacebuilding and humanitarian action. The Programme Analyst will contribute to WPHF's mission by strengthening women-led organizations in crisis-affected settings and promoting inclusive peacebuilding.
Job Purpose
The Programme Analyst will support the development and implementation of effective UN Women programmes, particularly those related to the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). This role involves contributing to programme strategies, coordinating implementation activities, and providing technical assistance to WPHF programme partners. The incumbent will monitor progress, support financial management, and contribute to reporting and knowledge-building efforts. The position aims to empower women and promote inclusive peacebuilding and humanitarian action by ensuring effective programme delivery and partner engagement.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will provide technical inputs for the design and formulation of WPHF programme and project proposals. They will coordinate and monitor the implementation of programme activities, review partner reports, and train partners on Results-Based Management. The role includes providing technical support and oversight to partners, identifying capacity-building opportunities, and facilitating training. Responsibilities also encompass monitoring programme progress, results, and indicators, and contributing to various reports. Additionally, the analyst will monitor budget implementation, provide inputs for financial reports, and support resource mobilization strategies. Inter-agency coordination and contributing to advocacy and knowledge-building efforts are also key duties.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project support, preferably in gender equality, women, peace and security, or leadership and governance, is required. Experience supporting programme implementation, coordination, partner engagement, and working with civil society organizations, including women-led ones, is essential. Experience in monitoring activities, organizing training, and working in fragile or humanitarian contexts is desirable.
