Job Purpose
This consultancy position supports UN Women's Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) pillar in Indonesia. The role contributes to advancing climate-resilient livelihoods and care economy initiatives under the EmPower II Programme, and supports WEE components within the BERANI joint programme. The purpose is to provide technical and operational assistance for programme implementation, coordination, monitoring, knowledge management, and partnership development, ultimately contributing to women's economic empowerment and gender equality.
Responsibilities
The consultant will provide technical and operational assistance for the implementation of UN Women's Women's Economic Empowerment programmes in Indonesia. Key responsibilities include supporting coordination with local partners, government counterparts, and stakeholders for climate-resilient livelihood initiatives and the EmPower II Programme. This involves assisting in capacity-building activities, documenting programme progress, collecting success stories, and contributing to monitoring and reporting. The role also supports the development of knowledge products and communication materials, and assists with logistical arrangements for events. Additionally, the consultant will support the WEE components of the BERANI project, focusing on gender-equitable households and social norm transformation, and contribute to partnership development with government, donors, and the private sector.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience (with a Master's degree) or 4 years (with a Bachelor's degree) is required in programme development, project management, planning, or implementation. Experience in managing activities, developing ToRs, concept notes, and presentations is essential. Experience engaging with the private sector on gender equality, managing youth engagement programmes, or utilizing human-centered design approaches is advantageous.
