Organizational Context

UN Women in the Central African Republic works to advance gender equality and women's empowerment through national and international commitments. The Country Office implements programs focused on women's economic empowerment, leadership, combating violence against women, and integrating gender into peace processes and humanitarian response. The office is a member of the UN Country Team and Humanitarian Team, collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve its mandate.

Job Purpose

The Programme Analyst, GBV/CRSV and Community Security, under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist, provides technical and programmatic support for effective management of UN Women's interventions in gender-based violence (GBV), inclusive governance, and women's leadership. The role contributes to the design, formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs aimed at preventing and responding to GBV, promoting inclusive governance, and strengthening women's leadership. The analyst supports activity implementation by monitoring results, analyzing performance, integrating Gender and Women, Peace and Security (WPS) approaches, and applying results-based management tools, working closely with internal teams, regional offices, headquarters, government institutions, and civil society partners.

Responsibilities

Contribute technically to the development of program strategies in Peace, Security, and Humanitarian Action, particularly GBV/CRSV. Support the design and formulation of program proposals and initiatives, identifying areas for program support. Provide technical support for the implementation and management of projects, ensuring coordinated planning and harmonized implementation. Assist in the development of annual work plans and budgets, and support program activity implementation, especially in peacebuilding and humanitarian action. Coordinate calls for proposals and review partner capacities. Review and monitor financial and narrative reports from implementing partners. Track activity and financial progress using results-based management tools and draft reports on missions, outputs, and outcomes. Contribute to donor and UN Women reporting. Monitor budget execution and assist with financial reporting. Support resource mobilization strategies and prepare relevant documentation. Provide technical support for inter-agency coordination on humanitarian action, supporting the GBV cluster and national GBV/WPS and Governance committees. Contribute to advocacy efforts, knowledge management, and communication by supporting information materials and presentations, and coordinating the development of knowledge products.

Work Experience

A minimum of one year of professional experience in program/project implementation, coordination, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in humanitarian action, peacebuilding, or governance is necessary. Experience working with international organizations, humanitarian organizations, or the UN system (especially UN Women) is an asset. Proven experience in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of projects funded by technical and financial partners is essential. Experience coordinating with government institutions, UN agencies, civil society, and development partners is required. Experience in gender equality, women's empowerment, GBV, WPS, climate resilience, or economic empowerment is a significant asset. Experience in fragile or humanitarian contexts is desirable.
