Organizational Context
UN Women Yemen Country Office, under the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), is strengthening capacities of women-led civil society organizations (CSOs). This role supports a capacity-building component addressing identified gaps in results-based management, project design, and monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to enhance CSO effectiveness and sustainability.
Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to design and deliver an online capacity-building training for partner CSOs in Yemen, focusing on Results-Based Management (RBM), Project Design & Management, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). The training will be aligned with UN Women and UN system standards, utilizing adult learning and participatory methodologies. The consultant will contribute to enhancing the programmatic and institutional capacities of women-led CSOs, enabling them to better implement projects and achieve their objectives in humanitarian and peacebuilding contexts. The role involves developing a comprehensive curriculum, delivering an interactive training, and producing a report with key outcomes and lessons learned.
Responsibilities
Design a comprehensive online training curriculum in Arabic tailored to women-led CSOs in humanitarian and peacebuilding contexts, covering Results-Based Management (RBM), Project Design & Management, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). Deliver a 4-day interactive online training using adult learning and participatory methodologies. Develop and submit a concise training report detailing key outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations. Ensure training content aligns with UN Women and UN system standards, addressing specific challenges faced by CSOs in low-capacity, low-connectivity, and humanitarian settings. The consultant will be responsible for applying RBM principles, gender analysis, and conflict-sensitive approaches in the training design and delivery.
Work Experience
Requires at least 5 years of progressive experience in Results-Based Management (RBM), project management, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). Experience in delivering capacity-building training for CSOs, NGOs, or UN agencies is essential. Experience in gender equality, humanitarian action, peacebuilding, or Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) is desirable.
