Organizational Context
UN Women Rwanda is implementing the WE-Collabo Hub Project to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women-led MSMEs. This project aims to enhance access to skills, business development support, mentorship, innovation, networking, financial inclusion, and market linkages. The initiative seeks to equip women entrepreneurs with practical tools to build resilient and competitive enterprises, contributing to Rwanda's inclusive economic development and informing future programming on women's economic empowerment.
Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial, business management, digital, leadership, and investment readiness capacities of 30 women-led MSMEs participating in the WE-Collabo Hub project. The consultant will design and facilitate a comprehensive and practical entrepreneurship acceleration program, combining training, coaching, and mentorship. The goal is to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, tools, and networks needed to improve business performance, access markets and investment opportunities, adopt digital solutions, and develop investment-ready enterprises. The consultant will deliver interactive training sessions focused on practical, market-oriented approaches to enhance business growth and sustainability.
Responsibilities
The facilitator will design and deliver an entrepreneurship acceleration curriculum tailored for women-led MSMEs, including modules on entrepreneurial mindset, business planning, financial literacy, access to finance, digital transformation, business formalization, and gender-responsive growth. This includes conducting business diagnostics to identify capacity gaps and providing one-on-one mentorship and business coaching. The role involves preparing participants for investment pitches, supporting them in developing business growth plans and investment decks, and organizing mock pitching sessions. Additionally, the facilitator will document lessons learned, challenges, and provide recommendations for scaling the WE-Collabo Hub model, contributing to UN Women's efforts in women's economic empowerment.
Work Experience
Requires at least 7 years of progressive experience in entrepreneurship development, business incubation, or MSME acceleration. Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering entrepreneurship training for women-owned businesses is essential. Proven expertise in business coaching, mentoring, and investment readiness is also required. Experience with Rwanda's MSME ecosystem and supporting specific sectors like agribusiness or digital innovation is highly desirable.
