Job Purpose
The Programme Analyst supports the effective management of UN Women programmes in Türkiye, contributing to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves analyzing results, applying systems and procedures, and collaborating with internal teams, government officials, donors, and civil society to ensure successful programme delivery. The position focuses on advancing gender equality and women's empowerment through various thematic areas, including women's leadership and decision-making, economic empowerment, and ending violence against women.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will contribute technically to programme strategy development, including designing and formulating project proposals. They will provide technical support for programme implementation, monitoring annual workplans and budgets, and coordinating activities. This includes managing proposal processes, reviewing partner reports, and training partners on Results-Based Management. The role involves providing technical assistance and capacity development to partners, monitoring programme progress against indicators, and contributing to reporting. Additionally, the analyst will support programme finance and people management, build partnerships, contribute to resource mobilization, and engage in inter-agency coordination to ensure programme coherence. They will also provide inputs for advocacy, knowledge building, and communication efforts.
Work Experience
Requires at least one year of relevant experience in programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building in gender equality and women's empowerment. Experience in gender-responsive planning and budgeting, training methodologies, liaising with government and civil society, and working with UN organizations is desirable.
