Job Purpose
The Programme Analyst, Women’s Economic Empowerment, contributes to the effective management and implementation of UN Women programmes in Jordan. Reporting to the Women’s Economic Empowerment Portfolio Lead, the role provides substantive technical inputs to programme planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, reporting, and partnership management. The Analyst collaborates with various stakeholders, including government, development partners, civil society, and the private sector, to ensure successful programme delivery aligned with UN Women's policies and results-based management principles, with a specific focus on women's economic empowerment within the green economy.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will contribute technically to developing programme strategies for women's economic empowerment in the green economy, including designing initiatives and analyzing policy developments. They will provide technical support for programme implementation, manage activities, coordinate proposals, and monitor partner reports. The role involves providing technical assistance and capacity building to partners, developing knowledge products, and maintaining relationships with national stakeholders. Additionally, the Analyst will monitor programme progress and finances, draft reports, and contribute to financial management and supervision of consultants. They will also support partnership building, resource mobilization, inter-agency coordination, and advocacy efforts related to women's economic empowerment in the green economy.
Work Experience
Requires at least two years of progressive experience in agricultural/rural development programme implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building. Experience liaising with government and donors, and establishing agricultural infrastructure is essential. Experience with UN/donor financial and programme management systems is desirable. Strong project management, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to travel frequently to rural environments.
