Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to strengthen UN Women's capacity to mobilize domestic resources and scale impact by developing innovative financing solutions for women's economic empowerment, food security, and climate resilience. The role will focus on engaging strategic investors and partners, developing compelling concepts, conducting due diligence, and driving resource mobilization efforts to support initiatives like the JP ZHA. The objective is to create a sustainable model for gender-responsive, locally driven food systems transformation by leveraging national and subnational investments and aligning domestic resources with global commitments.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for strategic investor and partner engagement to secure buy-in and investment for women's economic empowerment, food security, and climate resilience initiatives, particularly for a planned hub related to the JP ZHA. This includes developing and delivering compelling pitch decks and presentations to promote the hub's vision and value proposition. The role also involves guiding due diligence processes and providing technical assistance to ensure partner alignment and readiness. Furthermore, the consultant will drive coordination, meetings, and outreach to strengthen financing and investment pipelines for these critical areas, contributing to the overall success of UN Women's resource mobilization and business development efforts.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressive experience in business, marketing, communication, and private sector engagement is required. Experience in gender equality and development financing, particularly within the Philippines, is essential. Proven experience in private sector engagement, developing fundraising strategies, and producing reports, pitch decks, and project proposals is also necessary.
