Organizational Context

The Strategy, Planning, Results, and Effectiveness Division (SPRED) manages the corporate strategy, including planning, results, and governance. Within SPRED, the Corporate Performance and Accountability Unit (CPAU) integrates functions like risk management and performance monitoring to enhance accountability and informed decision-making across the organization.
Job Purpose
The Chief, Corporate Performance and Accountability Unit (CPAU) provides integrated leadership for enterprise risk management, internal audit follow-up, policy management, and organizational performance management. This role aims to strengthen accountability, embed risk-informed decision-making, and enhance coherent oversight across UN Women. The Chief drives the implementation of the Organizational Effectiveness and Efficiency (OEE) component of the UN Women Strategic Plan, contributing to improved corporate performance, internal governance, and transparent delivery of priorities.
Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of the Organizational Effectiveness and Efficiency (OEE) strategy and provide strategic direction for corporate performance management, ensuring alignment with planning, risk management, and accountability mechanisms. Oversee the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process and annual reporting to strengthen management oversight and decision-making. Coordinate the integration of key second-line functions, including enterprise risk management and internal audit follow-up, to enhance governance and institutional effectiveness. Provide strategic advice on organizational design, business processes, and institutional change to optimize structures and resource utilization. Support the Director, SPRED in managing divisional resources and represent the Director in meetings as required.
Work Experience
At least 10 years of experience in business transformation, change management, or organizational development within large international institutions is required. Experience in strategy development and business transformation processes for a global organization is also necessary. Experience in management, administration, business processes, or accountability, preferably within the UN system, is desirable.
