Organizational Context

UN Women in Moldova is supporting the development of the Moldova International Stock Exchange (BIMx) to enhance women's economic empowerment. This role focuses on increasing awareness and participation of women entrepreneurs and investors in capital markets through BIMx tools, aligning with national development strategies and gender equality directives.

Job Purpose

This consultancy aims to design and implement a gender-responsive communication strategy for the Moldova International Stock Exchange (BIMx). The purpose is to significantly increase awareness, engagement, and participation of women entrepreneurs and potential women investors in the capital market. By developing tailored communication approaches and leveraging BIMx tools, this role will contribute to advancing gender equality in financial access and promoting women's economic empowerment within Moldova's developing capital market.

Responsibilities

The consultant will conduct a gender-responsive communication audit to assess current strategies, identify gaps, and provide recommendations. This includes reviewing communication materials, conducting stakeholder interviews, and analyzing performance data. A key task is mapping stakeholders and audiences to define segmented communication objectives and preferred channels. The consultant will develop a comprehensive 12-month communication plan, outlining priority themes, narratives, optimal channels, and an editorial calendar. This plan will integrate risk communication and define monitoring mechanisms, ensuring adequate visibility for UN Women and its donors.

Work Experience

Requires at least 5 years of professional experience in communication, strategic PR, gender equality programming, or sustainable development, with media management experience. Experience in designing communication campaigns and launch events is essential. Prior engagement with government, financial institutions, the business community, and women's organizations in Moldova is necessary. Experience producing high-quality reports and outreach materials in Romanian and another language is required.
