Job Purpose
This internship at the UN Women Knowledge and Partnerships Centre in Seoul provides students with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of gender equality issues and develop practical skills in communications, partnership development, and event organization. The intern will support training and program activities focused on transforming care systems, gaining insights into UN Women's efforts to strengthen stakeholder capacity and implement international commitments. The role aims to enhance the intern's knowledge of gender equality in the Asia-Pacific region and UN Women's programmatic work, while contributing to the Centre's mission and building a foundation for a career in international development.
Responsibilities
The intern will support training and program activities focused on transforming care systems under the supervision of the Gender Training Specialist. Key duties include assisting in the organization of events from conceptualization to follow-up, which involves conducting research for background notes and concept notes, identifying speakers, and preparing agendas and speaker bios. The intern will also support the design of training assessment surveys, compile activity reports, and provide logistical support such as notetaking and documentation. Additionally, the role involves attending activities, assisting with monitoring, supporting communication outreach, and contributing to the visual design of materials. Ad hoc support to other team members for activity organization is also expected.
Work Experience
No specific work experience is required for this internship. However, previous experience in organizing trainings or events in international settings is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools like Canva is also advantageous.
