Job Purpose
The Programme and Finance Analyst supports the UN Trust Fund's Regional EVAW Hub in the Arab States, ensuring grant implementation aligns with UN Women regulations. The role contributes to research, financial management, and programme implementation, providing operational, administrative, and programmatic support. The analyst collaborates with regional and HQ staff to resolve financial issues and supports the Regional EVAW Portfolio Specialist in partner management, event coordination, and support to civil society organizations.
Responsibilities
Manage administrative and logistical aspects for the UN Trust Fund Regional EVAW Hub, including arrangements for meetings, workshops, and missions. Coordinate meetings, dialogues, and advocacy spaces, engaging with civil society and women's rights networks. Provide administrative support for the regional portfolio work plan, budget, and activities. Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures and guidelines. Support the coordination of proposal calls, technical reviews, and partner capacity assessments. Implement financial strategies in compliance with UN Women rules, monitoring partner reports, advances, and financial compliance. Serve as the first reviewer for financial inquiries from partners and prepare payments. Support budget preparation, revisions, and control mechanisms, generating management reports and assisting with audits. Provide finance support for programme and operations teams, including financial reporting and project closure. Offer programmatic and technical support, assisting with briefing notes, mission planning, grant selection, partner management, and knowledge management activities.
Work Experience
Requires at least 2 years of progressive experience in programme and finance management, including ERP systems. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree need a minimum of 4 years of experience. Proficiency in computer and office software (MS Word, Excel) is essential. Experience supporting civil society organizations, particularly women's rights organizations, is desirable. Experience in knowledge management, lessons learned documentation, or M&E support is an asset. Experience in organizing learning events or multi-stakeholder processes is also desirable.
