UN Women's Morocco Country Office (MCO) works with national partners to advance gender equality and women's empowerment. The office supports gender-sensitive policies, data production, and women's economic empowerment initiatives. The Project Analyst role supports the "GENSTAT: Gender and Territorialized Statistics" programme, funded by the European Union, aimed at strengthening national statistical foundations for evidence-based governance.
Job Purpose
The Project Analyst is responsible for contributing to the effective management of the GENSTAT programme. This involves providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The role ensures the timely and efficient delivery of UN Women programmes by monitoring results, managing resources in compliance with UN Women rules and donor requirements, and facilitating the application of systems and procedures. The Analyst works collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve programme objectives and support gender equality and women's empowerment in Morocco.
Responsibilities
Oversee and guide project management by coordinating the development, implementation, and monitoring of annual work plans and budgets. Monitor the effective use of resources and ensure compliance with UN Women rules and donor requirements. Provide technical inputs to establish effective monitoring systems and draft progress reports. Monitor budget implementation and manage office operations as needed. Provide substantive inputs to inter-agency coordination processes and support the development of UN joint programmes. Contribute to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies by preparing project summaries and participating in donor meetings. Support knowledge management strategies and disseminate best practices and lessons learned.
Work Experience
At least 2 years of progressive experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in analyzing gender-related data, providing analytical and coordination support, and managing computer software packages is essential. Experience with ERP systems and liaising with government agencies or donors is desirable.
