Job Purpose
The Programme Consultant will support the implementation, coordination, monitoring, and strategic development of the Rapid Response Window (RRW) portfolio within the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). This role is crucial for advancing women's meaningful participation and leadership in peace processes globally. The consultant will review applications, provide technical support to partners, coordinate meetings, prepare briefing materials, and contribute to strategic planning and reporting. The position aims to ensure women's voices, priorities, and expertise are effectively integrated into peace and political processes, addressing the growing demand and persistent barriers to their engagement.
Responsibilities
The Programme Consultant will be responsible for reviewing and assessing RRW applications and proposals, providing technical support to selected applicants, and preparing documentation for decision-making. This includes reviewing narrative reports from partners, providing feedback on programme quality, and assisting in the onboarding of new partners. The role involves organizing coordination calls, collecting project documentation, and updating relevant databases. Additionally, the consultant will prepare thematic briefing notes, donor briefs, and programme summaries. Key responsibilities also include coordinating participation in strategic events like Peacebuilding Week and the WPHF Global Women Forum, preparing advocacy materials, and documenting follow-up actions. The consultant will also support the revision of the RRW Programme Document, contribute to the development of the 2027 workplan, and assist in preparing the RRW Annual Report, culminating in an end-of-consultancy summary report.
Work Experience
Requires at least two years of progressive work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building. Experience in Women, Peace and Security, and supporting grassroots/women-led civil society organizations is essential. Experience coordinating multi-country or global projects and with multi-donor trust funds is considered an asset.
