Job Purpose
The Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Specialist (National Consultant) provides essential ICT support services to the UN Women Indonesia Country Office. This role ensures the smooth operation of all ICT systems, including servers, networks, and user equipment, maintaining connectivity and data integrity. The consultant will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage IT assets, and coordinate with HQ/Regional ICT teams to uphold UN Women's operational efficiency and security standards in Indonesia.
Responsibilities
The ICT Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive ICT support, ensuring servers, networks, and equipment are in good condition and accessible. This includes managing internet connectivity, monitoring for viruses and malware, and ensuring network printers are functional. The role involves troubleshooting software and hardware issues, performing system installations and configurations, and maintaining all IT equipment. The consultant will also manage office cloud storage and backups, and support ICT procurement. Additionally, the specialist will act as the Asset Focal Point, verifying and maintaining asset records, coordinating disposal processes, and reporting on asset conditions. Regular IT activity reports are required.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of progressive work experience in ICT support is required, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, networking, and hardware/software maintenance. Experience supporting multinational or international organizations is an asset, as is prior experience within UN agencies. Independent work experience as a sole IT focal point is also desirable.
