Job Purpose

Responsibilities
Conduct an exploratory study in San Miguelito, Panama City, to identify gender-responsive interventions for preventing and responding to sexual violence against women and girls in public spaces. This includes reviewing relevant literature and engaging with key local stakeholders, such as government entities, civil society organizations, and women's groups. The consultant will characterize the intervention area, analyze relevant policies, and identify potential partners. Additionally, the role involves organizing validation workshops to discuss findings with stakeholders and inform the design of a safe cities program. The study will assess existing services and projects from the beneficiaries' perspective and contribute to developing a multi-stakeholder, evidence-based program.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in research, program design, or implementation related to gender equality, violence against women, or urban safety is required. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations, particularly in Latin America, is highly desirable. Proven experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research and engaging with diverse stakeholders is essential.
