Job Purpose
The Programme Management Analyst supports the programmatic functions of the Programme Support Management Unit (PSMU) within UN Women's Strategy, Planning, Results and Effectiveness Division (SPRED). This role is crucial for coordinating key activities such as Global Project Appraisal Committee (GPAC) meetings, capacity building initiatives, and knowledge management. The analyst ensures that PSMU's operations, including financial and human resources, procurement, and ICT, align with UN Women's rules and regulations, contributing to the effective delivery of programmes and projects.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the development and monitoring of PSMU workplans and budgets, ensuring timely data entry and reporting. Manage budget revisions and support review meetings. Coordinate Project and Programme Partner GPAC meetings, including preliminary documentation review and follow-up on audit recommendations. Support system enhancements for project management tools. Coordinate capacity building and training events, providing administrative and logistical support. Manage PSMU's knowledge and document management systems, including SharePoint updates. Oversee PSMU operations, ensuring compliance with UN Women rules and regulations, including recruitment, contract management, financial controls, and project closure processes.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in programme/project management within a large international or corporate organization is required. Experience in office management, operations, or budget/finance is also required. Proficiency in computer software, office packages, and ERP systems like Oracle Cloud is necessary. Experience in international development, the UN system, knowledge management, or strategic planning is desirable.
