Job Purpose
The Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of UN Women programmes in the Kyrgyz Republic by providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. This role guides and facilitates programme delivery by monitoring results and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures. The Programme Analyst works collaboratively with programme and operations teams, government officials, donors, and civil society to ensure successful programme implementation within their portfolio, contributing to UN Women's mandate.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will technically contribute to the development of programme strategies in Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW), providing inputs for proposals and identifying areas for intervention. They will offer substantive technical support for programme implementation and management, including work plans, budgets, and monitoring activities. This includes coordinating proposal calls, reviewing partner reports, and training partners on Results-Based Management. The role involves providing technical assistance and capacity development to partners, developing knowledge products, and maintaining national partner relationships. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to monitoring and reporting, manage programme finances and budgets, and supervise programme support staff. They will also provide inputs to partnerships, resource mobilization, inter-agency coordination on EVAWG, and advocacy efforts, developing background documents and coordinating campaigns and knowledge products.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible work experience with a Master's degree (or 4 years with a Bachelor's degree) in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in EVAW, coordinating with government agencies/donors, and using computer office packages is desirable. Experience with ERP systems like Oracle Cloud is also desirable.
