The office works with national and UN partners to sustain gender equality gains, address emerging challenges, and promote women's rights and empowerment through adequate funding, resilience-building, economic empowerment, and inclusion in decision-making and recovery efforts.
Job Purpose
The Programme Analyst, Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting, supports the effective management of UN Women programmes in Ukraine. This role contributes to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation, focusing on gender-responsive planning and budgeting. The analyst will analyze results, ensure appropriate systems and procedures are applied, and collaborate with internal teams, government officials, donors, and civil society to ensure successful programme delivery and promote gender equality and women's empowerment in the context of the ongoing conflict and recovery.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will contribute technically to developing programme strategies in Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting, including designing and formulating project proposals. They will provide technical support for programme implementation, monitor activities, coordinate proposals and partner reports, and train partners on Results-Based Management. The role involves providing technical assistance and capacity development to partners, monitoring programme progress against indicators, and contributing to financial management and budget revisions. Additionally, the analyst will support partnership building, resource mobilization, inter-agency coordination, and advocacy efforts, contributing to knowledge management products and performing other duties as required.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, and coordinating with government agencies and donors, is desirable.
