Organizational Context
UN Women is establishing a new Global Office in Bonn, Germany. The ICT Associate will be a key member of the global ICT helpdesk team, providing essential local IT support for the Bonn office. This role ensures personnel receive timely and reliable technical assistance, working closely with global IST teams at headquarters to maintain infrastructure and support users.
Job Purpose
The ICT Associate will serve as the primary local ICT support resource for the new UN Women Global Office in Bonn, Germany. This role is crucial for ensuring that all personnel receive timely and reliable technical assistance, thereby supporting the smooth operation of the office. The incumbent will be responsible for hands-on local helpdesk support, infrastructure maintenance, and user engagement, working in close coordination with global IST teams. The purpose is to deliver high-quality ICT support services, ensure compliance with corporate standards, resolve incidents effectively, and foster positive user engagement through training and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
Provide first-contact resolution for ICT incidents via various channels, logging all interactions. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve common hardware, software, and connectivity issues, escalating complex problems as needed. Offer first-level support for corporate applications like Quantum ERP, PRISM, and Microsoft 365. Install and configure standard ICT hardware and software, implementing security measures and system updates. Monitor local network environments and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of ICT assets and support local procurement. Deliver training on computing tools and contribute to knowledge management. Serve as the local ICT point of contact, managing user accounts and liaising with global IST teams and local service providers. Provide audiovisual and conferencing support for meetings and events.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of progressive experience in ICT helpdesk support, desktop administration, and end-user services is required (or three years with a Bachelor's degree). Experience with Microsoft 365, ITSM ticketing tools, basic network troubleshooting, and audiovisual conferencing is essential. Experience with SharePoint and ERP systems, as well as working within the UN or international organizations, is desirable.
