In Bolivia, the country office implements projects aligned with the Strategic Plan 2022-2025, focusing on eradicating violence against women by strengthening state and civil society capacities, supporting survivors, and promoting favorable social norms. This role supports the Gender Violence Eradication Area.

Job Purpose

This role supports the development and implementation of objectives within UN Women's Gender Violence Eradication Area in Bolivia. The incumbent will monitor project implementation, provide technical assistance to key actors, and ensure quality standards are met. The position contributes to strengthening institutional capacities, supporting survivors of violence, and promoting social change to prevent violence against women and girls, aligning with UN Women's mandate and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Monitor the implementation of actions by Civil Society Organizations, including developing and applying a monitoring and evaluation plan, and collecting/analyzing data on grant impact. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. Foster collaboration among civil society organizations and strategic actors, promoting knowledge exchange. Provide technical assistance to key actors for results-based management and implementation of gender-based violence norms. Support the implementation of activities within the violence eradication area, ensuring quality and efficiency, and applying gender, generational, and diversity perspectives. Assist in coordinating, programming, and organizing activities. Provide technical assistance for document preparation, data systematization, and project profiles. Maintain updated technical document archives and project reports. Support project monitoring in the EVAW area, ensuring results compliance, data collection, analysis, and report generation. Coordinate with counterparts for data validation and support evaluation processes. Assist in inter-agency coordination meetings and the review/elaboration of inter-agency documents.

Work Experience

A minimum of five years of general professional experience is required. Four years of related work experience in project management with public, private, or international entities, focusing on populations in situations of poverty and vulnerability, is necessary. Two years of experience in eradicating violence against women and services for combating violence is desirable. Experience with the UN System is a plus. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows is required. Familiarity with UN Women's integrated systems (Quantum, DAMS, etc.) is desirable.
