UN Women is recruiting a Private Sector Analyst to support the implementation of the Surging Women’s Employment Flagship Initiative (SWEI) in Morocco. This role contributes to strengthening transformative partnerships with the private sector, promoting gender-responsive workplaces, and increasing women's access to decent employment opportunities in priority sectors, aligning with UN Women's strategic priorities on women's economic empowerment.
Job Purpose
The Private Sector Analyst will provide technical, operational, and coordination support for the UN Women Morocco country office's Women Economic Empowerment portfolio, with a focus on the SWEI. The role aims to strengthen partnerships with the private sector, promote gender-responsive workplaces, and identify opportunities to increase women's access to decent employment. This involves supporting programme implementation, monitoring, reporting, and financial management, while contributing to capacity development, knowledge building, and advocacy efforts to advance gender equality and women's economic empowerment in Morocco.
Responsibilities
The Private Sector Analyst will contribute to the UN Women's Women Economic Empowerment portfolio by providing technical support for programme strategies and initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of SWEI activities, and contributing to workplans and budgets. The role involves supporting private sector engagement by assisting companies in implementing the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), conducting company assessments, developing gender action plans, and identifying solutions for inclusive workplace practices. Additionally, the analyst will support the onboarding of new WEPs signatory companies, organize workshops, and contribute to monitoring and reporting on programme progress, including documenting case studies and success stories. Financial and operational management support for the SWEI programme, along with contributions to resource mobilization and partnership development with various stakeholders, are also key duties.
Work Experience
At least one year of relevant experience in development programme implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in advising the private sector on diversity and gender parity, women's economic empowerment in Morocco/Arab States, and capacity building for stakeholders is desirable. Experience in liaising with government agencies and donors is also desirable.

Programme formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation skills; Knowledge of Results Based Management; Ability to gather and interpret data; Analytical skills; Good knowledge of private sector employment.
