The Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Section, within the Strategic Partnerships Division, focuses on engaging with corporations, foundations, and individual donors to mobilize resources and drive global initiatives like the Women's Empowerment Principles and HeForShe. This role supports the overall aim of fostering high-quality partnerships and maximizing revenue for gender equality.
Job Purpose
The Digital Fundraising Specialist will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of UN Women's global digital fundraising strategy. This involves managing annual and ongoing digital campaigns, overseeing agency contracts, analyzing performance metrics (ROAS, ROI, LTV), enhancing the Global Giving Platform, and providing strategic support to key markets. The role aims to increase regular and emergency resource revenue, acquire and retain donors, and improve UN Women's digital fundraising capabilities across headquarters, National Committees, and Regional/Country Offices.
Responsibilities
Lead the acquisition of increasing amounts of unrestricted revenue through digital channels and the Global Giving Platform, focusing on successful campaign execution (e.g., International Women's Day, year-end giving) and growing one-off and monthly donor bases. Drive the acquisition of significant emergency-earmarked revenue by rapidly launching and managing humanitarian response campaigns. Develop and implement a global strategy to expand digital fundraising capabilities to National Committees and potentially Country/Regional Offices through capacity building and training. Optimize digital fundraising tools and platforms, fostering a test-and-learn culture and ensuring alignment with broader donor retention strategies. Ensure digital fundraising aspects of National Committee Joint Partner Plans are robust and compliant. Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting on digital giving metrics and KPIs, providing timely updates to senior management.
Work Experience
Requires at least 7 years of professional experience in digital commercial marketing and private sector fundraising, with a strong emphasis on digital fundraising. Experience in international development or related fields is necessary. Experience working with large NGOs or UN bodies in digital fundraising and engagement to achieve income growth is essential. Experience with digital marketing for leading brands is an asset, as is proven experience working with digital sector suppliers and agencies. Proficiency in computer software, web-based management systems, and preferably Oracle Cloud ERP is required/desirable.
