Job Purpose
This consultancy supports UN Women Türkiye's project "Restoring and Strengthening Preventive and Protective Services for VAWG Survivors in Earthquake-Affected Areas." The role focuses on enhancing socio-economic empowerment opportunities for VAWG survivors, including those in shelters and receiving services. The consultant will contribute to project design, implementation, and monitoring, leveraging international best practices to improve survivors' access to quality services, well-being, and post-shelter support. The ultimate goal is to improve the protection of women's and children's rights in earthquake-affected regions.
Responsibilities
The International Consultant will provide technical expertise on women's socio-economic empowerment within EVAW contexts. This includes conducting comparative analyses of international best practices, producing policy briefs, and delivering online technical sessions for government personnel and partners on survivor-centered empowerment approaches. The consultant will review and provide feedback on skills mapping and gap analysis reports, formulating programmatic options. They will also contribute to training curricula and knowledge products, ensuring alignment with international standards and survivor-centered principles. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support for monitoring and results frameworks, including the design of monitoring tools and assessment of empowerment changes, and advising on the use of monitoring data for program learning and coordination.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressive professional experience in women's socio-economic empowerment, livelihoods, employment, or labor market programming, informed by international standards, is required. Experience in policy analysis or advisory work in EVAW-sensitive, post-crisis, or fragile contexts is highly desirable. Experience with monitoring and evaluation frameworks for women's empowerment programs, capacity development support, and producing policy-relevant knowledge products is also desirable.
