Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to systematize UN Women's initiatives in Bolivia that utilize behavioral science for the prevention of violence against women and girls. The purpose is to document the methodological process, findings, lessons learned, challenges, and outcomes. The goal is to identify opportunities for replication, scalability, and future interventions, generating evidence and knowledge products to strengthen policies, programs, and communication strategies focused on behavioral change and transforming social norms.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for documenting and analyzing the behavioral science methodology applied to prevent violence against women and girls. This includes generating evidence on factors facilitating or hindering male participation, identifying barriers, motivators, and programmatic lessons. The consultant will analyze the influence of territorial, social, and cultural contexts on intervention implementation and results, and identify changes in knowledge, attitudes, practices, and social norms related to violence prevention. Key activities involve conducting primary data collection through focus groups in nine municipalities, consolidating a final report with methodological memory, barrier/motivator analysis, territorial analysis, and lessons learned, and preparing an executive summary and presentation.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in gender equality, violence prevention, or social norm transformation programs is required. Experience in applying behavioral science or related approaches to social issues is highly desirable. Proven experience in conducting research, analysis, and report writing, particularly in Latin America, is also preferred.
