Job Purpose
This consultancy supports UN Women Türkiye's project to restore and strengthen preventive and protective services for women and girls affected by violence, particularly in earthquake-affected regions. The role will provide technical expertise to enhance capacity development interventions and knowledge products on essential social services in the EVAW context, aligning with international standards and good practices. The consultant will contribute to improving the protection of women's and children's rights by enhancing access to quality services, strengthening institutional capacities, and supporting socio-economic empowerment initiatives for survivors.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise for capacity development and knowledge products on essential social services in EVAW, conducting comparative analyses of international best practices and producing technical briefs. Deliver online technical sessions for stakeholders on EVAW-focused social services, including women's shelters and counselling centres, emphasizing rights-based and survivor-centred approaches. Review and provide feedback on training materials and knowledge products, ensuring consistency with international EVAW standards. Offer technical quality assurance for project deliverables developed by national consultants and partners. Support the development and implementation of results monitoring tools for EVAW social service delivery, including designing feedback mechanisms for survivors and assessment tools for empowerment, and provide analytical guidance on data interpretation to inform programme learning and coordination.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressive professional experience in providing technical or advisory support on essential social services related to ending violence against women and girls (EVAW) is required. Experience in policy analysis, social service delivery systems, psychosocial support, case management, or coordination mechanisms in EVAW contexts is highly desirable. Experience in monitoring and evaluation of EVAW services, capacity development, and producing knowledge products is also desirable.
