Job Purpose
This role provides analytical, coordination, and technical support to UN Women's Resilience Unit in the Asia and Pacific Regional Office. The Programme Analyst will focus on strengthening programme quality and implementation, particularly for the EmPower programme, by enhancing results-based management, evidence generation, partner coordination, and learning across regional and country-level activities. The position is crucial for ensuring effective delivery, monitoring, reporting, and partner engagement to advance gender equality in climate action and resilience-building efforts.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will support day-to-day programme coordination and implementation follow-up for gender, climate, and resilience initiatives, tracking progress against workplans and deliverables. Responsibilities include coordinating inputs from various teams, preparing analytical updates on progress and risks, and contributing to work planning and review sessions. The role involves coordinating monitoring, reporting, and results-based management, including data collection, validation, and maintaining tracking tools. Additionally, the analyst will support partner coordination and civil society engagement, reviewing partner reports and providing guidance on results-based management. Knowledge management and learning activities, such as developing learning products and facilitating sessions, are also key duties.
Work Experience
Requires at least two years of progressive experience in programme implementation, monitoring, reporting, results-based management, partner coordination, or knowledge management within development, humanitarian, climate, or gender equality contexts. Experience supporting regional or multi-partner programmes and demonstrated ability to synthesize information into reports and briefs are necessary. Knowledge of climate change and disaster risk reduction is required.
