Job Purpose
This Programme Analyst role focuses on Women's Economic Empowerment in Sierra Leone. The purpose is to design, implement, and manage UN Women's interventions in this area, contributing to the agency's mission of gender equality and women's empowerment. The role involves developing programme strategies, managing project implementation, providing technical assistance to partners, and ensuring effective monitoring and reporting to achieve tangible results for women's economic advancement.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst will design and formulate programme strategies and initiatives for Women's Economic Empowerment, including drafting country strategy documents. They will manage the technical implementation of the programme, finalize annual workplans and budgets, and oversee partner reporting. The role involves providing technical assistance and capacity development to partners, building relationships with national stakeholders, and identifying training needs. Additionally, the analyst will manage programme monitoring and reporting, including field missions and financial oversight. They will also contribute to resource mobilization, inter-agency coordination, and advocacy efforts, developing knowledge management strategies and representing UN Women in relevant dialogues.
Work Experience
Requires at least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in designing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating development projects. Technical experience in Women's Economic Empowerment, experience leading and coaching staff, and proficiency in computer software and web-based management systems are essential. Experience with government agencies, donors, or the UN system is desirable.
