Job Purpose

The Programme Analyst, Women’s Economic Empowerment & Humanitarian Assistance, plays a pivotal role in translating UN Women Pakistan's strategic goals into impactful action. This role contributes substantively to programme design, formulation, and evaluation, ensuring initiatives are responsive to the needs of vulnerable communities. By monitoring implementation results, coordinating with partners, and enhancing systems, the Analyst supports the delivery of high-quality programmes focused on providing women with access to financial services, markets, digital literacy, skills, and enterprise development. The position is instrumental in realizing the portfolio’s vision through effective collaboration with government counterparts, donors, civil society, and operational teams, ultimately fostering gender equality and women's economic empowerment.

Responsibilities

The Programme Analyst will contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in Women's Economic Empowerment and Humanitarian Action, providing substantive inputs to programme design and formulation. They will offer technical support for the implementation and management of the WEE&HA programme, including leading activities, coordinating proposals, and monitoring partner reports. The role involves providing technical assistance and capacity development to project partners, maintaining relationships, and identifying training needs. Additionally, the Analyst will contribute to programme monitoring and reporting, manage budget implementation, and provide inputs to financial reports. They will also support partnership building and resource mobilization strategies, participate in inter-agency coordination, and contribute to advocacy, knowledge building, and communication efforts. The incumbent will guide a team of 10, including 3 direct reports and 1 affiliate personnel.

Work Experience

A minimum of 2 years of progressive work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building is required. Experience in Women's Economic Empowerment is desirable. Experience liaising with government agencies and/or donors is desirable. Proficiency in computer and office software packages, including spreadsheet and database management, and experience with web-based management systems are required. Experience with an ERP system like Oracle Cloud is desirable.
