Job Purpose
The Communications Analyst (Visual and Graphic Design) is responsible for developing and designing visual communication materials for the UN Women Regional Office for the Arab States, including its WPSHA portfolio. This role supports the Regional Communication Specialist and works closely with UN Women HQ and country offices to ensure all visual content adheres to corporate branding and style guidelines, contributing to a cohesive and integrated communications approach across the region.
Responsibilities
Serve as the visual communications focal point, ensuring brand consistency and providing guidance to country offices and HQ. Lead the development of creative assets for campaigns, international days, and advocacy initiatives, adapting designs for various platforms. Create layout knowledge and visibility products for UN Women studies, manuals, toolkits, policy briefs, and reports, adhering to corporate branding. Design and update social media banners, cards, and content. Conceptualize and develop engaging social media materials and assets to boost visibility. Produce high-quality visuals for publications, factsheets, and promotional materials. Design presentations, infographics, brochures, posters, and reports. Layout UN Women Regional Office reports for digital and print. Contribute to short social media video production. Collaborate with units to ensure consistent messaging and unified visual identity, adapting global assets for multicultural contexts and ensuring brand compliance with external designers.
Work Experience
Requires at least two years of professional experience in graphic design, communications, or media operations, including print, video, and web. Experience in social media video production, developing visual assets for media and events, and proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) are essential. Knowledge of printing processes is also required. Experience with international organizations and UN branding guidelines is desirable.
