Job Purpose
The Programme Associate provides essential administrative and programmatic support to UN Women's Programme Team in Moldova, contributing to the development and effective implementation of programs aligned with UN Women's rules and regulations. This role supports research, financial management, and operational activities, working closely with country office and HQ staff to resolve complex issues. The position is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of programs aimed at advancing gender equality and women's empowerment within the country, in line with the UN Women Strategic Note.
Responsibilities
Provide advanced administrative and logistical support for program formulation and management, including work plans, budgets, and proposals. Offer technical guidance on program delivery and financial reporting to country offices and executing agencies. Coordinate audit information collection and support recommendation implementation. Contribute to developing and updating standard operating procedures and program management processes. Review program data for the CO website and compile information for various documents. Manage financial aspects by creating projects in Quantum, preparing budget revisions, monitoring finances, and preparing reports. Oversee logistical, administrative, and financial arrangements for meetings, workshops, and missions, including travel. Prepare public information materials and briefing packets, and liaise with high-level officials. Support resource mobilization by preparing agreements and processing donor information. Facilitate knowledge building by synthesizing lessons learned and coordinating training for staff and partners.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of experience in administrative and financial work, project management support, or related development field is required. Experience with computer software packages (MS Word, Excel), spreadsheet, and database packages is advantageous. Experience in gender equality and women's empowerment, Results-Based Management, or within the UN system is also considered an advantage.
