Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to strengthen the harmonization of actions among women's organizations, including the Alliance and its departmental cells, to enhance women's political participation in Haiti. The expert will ensure strategic coherence between the outcomes of the "États généraux sur la participation politique des femmes" and campaign recommendations. The role supports UN Women Haiti in designing and implementing initiatives to bolster women's political engagement, prevent electoral violence, and foster an inclusive political environment, working collaboratively with national institutions and international experts.
Responsibilities
The Expert in supporting women's organizations will be responsible for aligning electoral initiatives among various women's organizations and departmental cells of the Alliance. Key duties include developing common tools such as communication materials, methodological guides, and monitoring protocols to harmonize practices. The role also involves supporting the mobilization and capacity building of Alliance members and partner organizations to ensure their effective participation in the electoral process. Deliverables will include detailed analytical reports, validated proposals for adjustments or harmonization, and joint synthesis documents for transparent communication and collective steering of electoral initiatives.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required. This includes demonstrated expertise in gender equality and women's rights, as well as a thorough understanding of the Haitian context. Experience in supporting organizations and institutions involved in gender and electoral processes is essential.
Skills
Excellent institutional and strategic analysis capabilities; ability to facilitate coordination among institutions and stakeholders; proficiency in drafting analytical reports and synthesis documents; strong understanding of gender approaches in electoral processes; excellent writing skills in French and Creole; English is an asset.
