This role supports the Country Representative and Deputy Representative in integrating a Results-Based Management approach into UN Women's strategic planning and programming.
Job Purpose
The Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Coordinator is responsible for integrating a Results-Based Management (RBM) approach into UN Women Pakistan's strategic documents, including the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, Strategic Note, and Annual Work Plans. The role ensures evidence-based programming and robust monitoring, assessment, analysis, and reporting of key results and achievements across all UN Women Pakistan programmes. This position provides crucial technical support for RBM and M&E activities, contributing to the effective implementation and accountability of the office's mandate and its alignment with global priorities.
Responsibilities
The Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Coordinator provides specialized technical support on strategic direction and multi-stakeholder forums, assisting senior management with policy documents and strategic papers. The role leads the development of strategic plans and biennial workplans, ensuring alignment with global priorities. Responsibilities include preparing economic analyses for inclusive and resilient economies and gender-inclusive financing (GIF), and coordinating with stakeholders to advance GIF initiatives. The coordinator facilitates the incorporation of monitoring and reporting into programme formulation, developing indicators, monitoring calendars, and field plans. They contribute to annual workplan preparation and provide technical support to programme teams and partners in developing Performance Monitoring Frameworks (PMFs). The role involves monitoring results against country/regional targets and UN Women's Strategic Plan, drafting monitoring plans, coordinating data collection and analysis, conducting field monitoring visits, and developing management briefs. Additionally, the coordinator supports reporting to internal and external audiences, drafting donor and programme reports, and collecting data for corporate reports and evaluations. They also contribute to knowledge building and capacity development by identifying and disseminating good practices and developing training materials.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in strategic programme planning, or monitoring and reporting of development projects/programmes is required. Experience in developing participatory PM&E systems, analyzing data, and good organizational management skills are essential. Experience in UN System Coordination, gender-inclusive financing, and within the UN system at the country or regional level are considered assets. Excellent English drafting and report-writing skills are necessary, and field experience is desirable.
